McLaughlin -Levrone has abandoned obstacles to run the Open 400 this season – and therefore, very good.
McLaughlin-Levrone ran around the track with a comfortable advance in the section at home and crossed the finish line with a better 48.90 to win the gold medal at the American athletic championships.

“I wanted to challenge myself,” said McLaughlin-Levrone after the victory. “I felt like it was the year when I wanted to get out of the box and push myself really in a different way.”
Isabella Whittaker ranked second (49.59) and Aaliyah Butler obtained third place (49.91) to capture the other two qualification sports for the world championships next month in Tokyo, Japan.
For McLaughlin-Levrone, his main competition on Saturday was his quest to make the American record for the 400 women. Sanya Richards holds the record (48.70) which has been located since 2006.

“Everyone talks about the American record of course, it will come when it is supposed to come,” said McLaughlin-Levrone. “I think I learned a lot about myself. I think I learned a lot about the 400. Patterson worked at UPS and now he is a national champion.
The Sprinter won its very first national championship in 400, with a 44.16. Patterson is currently ranking third in the world as he is now targeting Tokyo.
“It looks like a dream. I put the work,” said Patterson. “I thank all thanks to the above man and my support system. They are the ones who got me here. ”

Patterson used to divide time between tracking on the track and quarter -work at UPS. He has since earned enough money to focus on the 400.
“My last day was June 5,” said Patterson with a smile.
Jonah Koech upsets the Olympic champion in 1500 men
Koech used a final kick to exceed Ethan Strand to win the 1,500. He had a personal time of 3: 30.17.
The 1,500 was one of the most competitive events of the day. Strand kept the second (3: 30.25) and the champion in title Olympique Cole Hocker won a bronze medal, performing a 3: 30.37.
