The veteran pilot Nascar Chris Buescher tries something new this weekend. The 32-year-old will make his debut in the Nascar Truck series at Watkins Glen International, leading the Ford F-15 of Thorsport Racing n ° 66.

Buescher is a champion of the Nascar Xfinity series (2015) and a winner of six cup races, but he has never race before in the series of trucks. However, 352 cup departures and 74 XFINITY starts later, it will change on Friday.

And Watkins Glen is an ideal place for this, because Buescher is the defending winner of the Cup race during the emblematic New York course, beating Shane Van Gisbergen in a last -touch dramatic battle last year.

It will also be the first time that Buescher will have entered the Nascar’s lower divisions in a decade, because he has never run anything beyond the Cup after obtaining the title Xfinity in 2015.
