Jabeur announced her break on Instagram, saying that she was not satisfied on the ground in the past two years. His complete statement read:

“Even if I am far from the court, I will continue to stay close and connect in different ways, and to share this trip with you all.”
After reaching status No. 2 in June 2022, Jabeur finished the strong year and performed again in 2023. She was a quarter-final at the French Open that year and went to the Wimbledon final, where she lost against Markété Vondrouová.

Since then, however, Jabeur has had a hard time. She arrived at the quarterfinals of the Open of France in 2024, but failed to pass beyond the third round during any other Grand Chelem event in 2024 and 2025.
