Mayer, 22, from Franklin, Wisconsin, retained Reiley Herbst in extension in June 2024 hy-VEE perks 250 at Iowa Speedway. On Saturday August 2, Mayer won his second consecutive victory in the race of the XFINITY series after a late restart.

“The speed of fire we had today was the best of all the cars I think,” said Mayer. “I could be aggressive on the restarts. Really aggressive, win this track position. Having new tires at the end, and short-term sessions, I was able to go there.”
Iowans do not face Hy-Vee Perks 250 of the XFINITY series
Sammy Smith, from Johnston, ran in a car sponsored by TMC Transportation, based on monks. Before the race, more than a dozen friends and family members of Sammy Smith Apparel stood next to his car. “It is a very broken track. The pavilion is getting quickly, losing the grip at the bottom of the race track,” said Zillisch. “So it’s going to be interesting to see how the track ages and what changes as the years continue.
